Organic Vase — Openwork | Virus
Description
Virus, an organic vase, combines a full, rounded lower body with a narrow neck and a sweep of organic openings. Elongated oval cutouts gather around the upper section and extend down one side, leaving a broad area of smooth surface beside them.
The openings vary in size and shape, giving the patterned section a natural, cellular appearance. Their irregular edges contrast with the continuous curve of the lower body. The effect changes when the vase is turned, revealing more open detail from one angle and a calmer rounded surface from another. The flowing outline gives this organic vase the movement of a wavy vase, which can be echoed by loose dry grasses.
A small dried arrangement or a few artificial branches will leave the perforated upper section visible. Display Virus at an angle where the transition from smooth body to open pattern can be appreciated. On a console or shelf, keep neighboring objects simple so the contrast between the rounded volume and the delicate openings remains the main visual feature. For flower vases for centerpieces, keep the dry stems in proportion to the container; table vase centerpieces feel more balanced when the vessel remains visible. For a display of unusual vases, keep the neighbouring shapes quieter; unique flower vases are easier to appreciate when their profiles do not overlap.
For the Outdoor finish, choose a pink vase to coordinate with similar accents, or a purple vase to change the contrast around the same sculpted form. Use Virus as a flower vase for a dry arrangement, or leave this table vase unfilled so the complete shape remains visible.
