Geometric Vase | Onde
Description
Onde is an openwork decorative geometric vase with an angular, pear-like profile. Long ribs spread outward from the narrow top toward a broad lower body, leaving elongated openings between them. Near the widest section, the geometry changes direction and draws back toward the base.
The spaces between the ribs are an essential part of the design, allowing the background to become visible through the sculptural outer form. This makes Onde feel lighter than a solid vase with the same proportions. A clear surrounding area helps preserve the contrast between its narrow lines and open sections. The relief makes this textured vase read as an abstract vase as well as a container, particularly when light falls across the surface from one side.
Style it with dried grasses or artificial stems that suit an openwork display. A few long stems echo the vertical ribs, while a plain backdrop lets the pointed openings and changing width remain the focal point. For flower vases for centerpieces, keep the dry stems in proportion to the container; table vase centerpieces feel more balanced when the vessel remains visible. Treat Onde as a sculptural vase in its own right, giving it the same breathing room you would reserve for other unique vases.
For the Outdoor finish, choose a black vase to coordinate with similar accents, or a white vase to change the contrast around the same sculpted form. Use Onde as a flower vase for a dry arrangement, or leave this table vase unfilled so the complete shape remains visible.
