Textured Vase — Geometric | Nemesis
Description
Nemesis is a textured vase with a full upper body and a narrow, pedestal-like lower section. Broad ribs flare outward around the shoulders, curve inward beneath the body, and spread again at the foot. Their changing direction creates an expressive outline from the opening to the base.
The small outward turns at the bottom are an important detail, giving the vase a more elaborate finish than a simple tapered form. Higher up, the separated ribs make the rounded shoulders appear especially pronounced. A three-quarter view reveals the depth of these curves and the open spaces between their edges. The relief makes this textured vase read as an abstract vase as well as a container, particularly when light falls across the surface from one side.
Use Nemesis with a loose artificial arrangement or a few dried stems that leave its upper ribs visible. It is particularly suited to an uncluttered display where the dramatic body and small sculpted foot can both be appreciated. When arranging decorative vases for living room shelves, let the container set the proportions of the table vase decor around it. Pair it with smooth contemporary vases for contrast, or keep the surrounding modern vase decor simple enough to reveal its outline.
For the Outdoor finish, choose a black vase to coordinate with similar accents, or a white vase to change the contrast around the same sculpted form. Use Nemesis as a flower vase for a dry arrangement, or leave this table vase unfilled so the complete shape remains visible.
