Textured Vase — Twisted Crater | Moon
Description
Moon, a textured vase, combines a twisting sculptural outline with a field of rounded crater-like recesses. Broad curves spiral around the body, and the dimples change size across those surfaces, giving the vase an irregular, moon-inspired texture.
The shape has pronounced outward folds rather than a simple round profile. Large hollows occupy the broader areas, while smaller indentations gather along narrower edges and transitions. As the vase turns, both the silhouette and the distribution of the recesses change, making it an object that rewards viewing from several angles. The relief makes this textured vase read as an abstract vase as well as a container, particularly when light falls across the surface from one side.
Keep a dried or artificial arrangement simple enough to leave the sculpted sides visible. A few upright stems can balance the movement within the body without repeating it. Moon works well as a standalone accent too, particularly on an open shelf or console where the twisting outline and varied crater texture can provide the entire focus of the display. As a designer vase for living room styling, Moon can sit beside books or framed art, with its detailed side turned toward the room.
