Sculptural Vase — Geometric | Claw
Description
Claw, a sculptural vase, surrounds a rounded lower body with pointed, claw-like forms and intricate sculpted grooves. The raised elements curve upward around the vase, creating a dramatic outline below a tall neck with broad vertical flutes.
Its lower section is richly detailed, with layered ridges and branching lines that suggest an organic armored surface. Above that ornament, the longer smooth flutes give the eye a clearer path toward the opening. This transition from dense sculptural detail to a more open neck is central to the design's character. The relief makes this textured vase read as an abstract vase as well as a container, particularly when light falls across the surface from one side.
Keep a dried or artificial arrangement relatively simple so the pointed forms remain visible below it.
