Indoor Planter — Ribbed | Elomi
Description
Elomi, an indoor planter, brings together a rounded, vertically ribbed upper section and a smooth lower section. A clear horizontal transition separates the two, giving the planter a stacked appearance with distinctly different surface treatments.
The upper ribs create fine bands of light and shadow around the opening. Beneath them, the plain lower curve provides a quieter visual foundation. Contrasting colors can make the two sections especially apparent, while the shape itself supplies the difference in texture and volume.
Elomi works well beneath a plant with upright central leaves and some softer growth around the edges. Keeping part of the ribbed band visible preserves the design's main contrast. Place it on a simple shelf or console where both sections can be seen together, making the planter's layered form part of the composition beneath the greenery. For a collection of unique planters, keep the planting simple enough for the shape to show; unusual plant pots work best when their defining details remain visible.
The smaller options suit a compact grouping of small plant pots; leave enough room between small flower pots to water each plant comfortably. When choosing indoor planters with drainage, select the opening option here; pots with drainage holes still need excess water emptied from any tray after watering. Use Elomi as a succulent planter with the drainage option, keeping the root space and growing medium appropriate for succulent plant pots. For the Outdoor finish, choose a black planter to coordinate with similar accents, or a white planter to change the contrast around the same sculpted form.
