Indoor Planter — Organic Cellular | Nexis

Nexis, an indoor planter, combines a smooth inner planting vessel with an irregular raised cellular network. Thin, branching lines stretch around the body, dividing into elongated cells that vary in width and direction. The outer web creates a highly detailed layer around the quieter underlying form.

The network has a strong upward movement in some areas and wider, more open shapes in others. Its changing proportions give the surface an organic structure rather than a repeated geometric grid. The body's curved outline becomes visible through the way the lines expand and gather around it.

Nexis works best where its intricate exterior can be seen against a simple background. Choose relatively open foliage to avoid concealing the upper network, and give the planter space on either side so the branching lines remain distinct. For a collection of unique planters, keep the planting simple enough for the shape to show; unusual plant pots work best when their defining details remain visible.

For succulent pots, choose drainage and a size suited to the roots; the same model can serve as a cactus plant pot when the growing conditions suit the plant. Choose a plant with a root ball suited to the selected size, as you would with other flower pots and planters for indoor plants. For the Outdoor finish, choose a black planter to coordinate with similar accents, or a white planter to change the contrast around the same sculpted form. The solid-base version can be used as a cachepot planter around a separate nursery container; compare both measurements, as you would when fitting other cache pots.
