Sculptural Vase — Flared Ribbed | Vela
Description
Vela, a sculptural vase, has a tall profile that expands into a sharp, flared center before narrowing again toward the bottom. Deep vertical ribs follow that change in width, turning the broad middle ridge into the defining feature of the silhouette.
The upper and lower sections curve inward, creating a contrast between their softer transitions and the pronounced angular line across the center. Closely repeated flutes make the shape feel continuous from the rim to the lower edge. From an angle, the projecting middle and recessed channels create a particularly clear interplay of light and shadow. The relief makes this textured vase read as an abstract vase as well as a container, particularly when light falls across the surface from one side.
Style Vela with upright dried grasses or artificial branches that extend its vertical direction. Leave the flared center clear of nearby objects so the widest part of the design stays visible. A low, rounded accessory alongside it can balance the height while offering a quieter surface against the vase's strong ribbed geometry. When arranging decorative vases for living room shelves, let the container set the proportions of the table vase decor around it. Among decorative vases, Vela offers a distinct silhouette that can anchor a shelf of home decor vases without a large floral arrangement.
For the Outdoor finish, choose a blue vase to coordinate with similar accents, or a green vase to change the contrast around the same sculpted form. Choose this modern flower vase for dried or artificial stems when you want a flower vase for table styling with a visible sculptural form.
