Sculptural Vase — Fine Ribbed Tapered | Rillan
Description
Rillan, a sculptural vase, has a tapered silhouette with a broad, softly rounded lower body and a small upper opening. Fine vertical ribs run continuously over the surface, making the change in width the main sculptural feature rather than adding a separate decorative pattern.
The lines draw closer together as the sides narrow toward the top. Around the lower curves, they spread into a more generous rhythm before meeting the bottom edge. This creates a simple, clearly defined shape with enough surface detail to catch the light without a dramatic flare or an extended neck. The relief makes this textured vase read as an abstract vase as well as a container, particularly when light falls across the surface from one side.
Use upright dried grasses or a few artificial stems to continue the clean vertical direction. A loose arrangement can soften the taper while leaving the small opening visible. Rillan works well beside low, broad accessories on a shelf or console, where the contrast in proportion lets its fine ribbing and rounded lower profile remain the focus.
