Round Plant Stand — Architectural | Portico
Description
Portico is a round plant stand with a round platform above a closely ribbed column. The top projects slightly beyond the body, creating a thin horizontal ledge over the strong vertical lines below. This simple relationship gives the stand the appearance of a small classical pedestal interpreted in a modern form.
The upright ribs run from the base to the underside of the platform. Their repeated shadows give depth to the rounded body without adding a separate surface motif. The projecting top makes a clear distinction between the planter's footprint and the supporting column.
Pair Portico with a faceted pot for a contrast between angular faces and regular fluting, or use a smooth container to keep the arrangement restrained. It adds a defined elevated level to a collection of plants while retaining a compact, continuous outline beneath the foliage.
