Sculptural Planter — Textured | Fulix
Description
Fulix is a sculptural planter with two broad, rounded ribbed sections stacked one above the other. A narrower band separates the fuller forms, creating a clearly defined horizontal break through the body. Fine vertical flutes follow the curves of both sections.
The repeated ribs connect the upper and lower shapes while the intervening band keeps them distinct. Each rounded section expands outward and returns toward its edges, giving the planter a soft, layered silhouette. The design is therefore recognizable through its outline as well as its texture. The form makes Fulix a sculptural planter that can hold its place in an arrangement even before the plant fills out; this sculpture planter keeps the container part of the composition.
Fulix works especially well with upright leaves that rise above the broad upper section. Show the whole body on a low surface or clear shelf, where the separation between the two rounded tiers can remain visible beneath the foliage. In a group of indoor house plant pots, leave a little space around Fulix; unique plant pots need enough room for their individual outlines to show. For a collection of unique planters, keep the planting simple enough for the shape to show; unusual plant pots work best when their defining details remain visible. Place Fulix where the plant receives suitable light, bringing the detail of flower pots for indoor plants into a group of interior plant pots.
The relief is part of the 3D printed planter itself, giving this unique planter detail that follows the shape of the whole body. Choose a plant with a root ball suited to the selected size, as you would with other flower pots and planters for indoor plants.
