Round Planter — Spiral | Cylas
Description
Cylas is a round planter with broad loop-like shapes repeating around its exterior. The raised bands cross into elongated figure-eight patterns, creating a flowing framework around the full curved body.
Large recessed areas between the loops give the design a clear sense of depth. The lines widen and narrow as they meet, adding a more organic rhythm than a regular diamond grid. A smoother upper band frames the opening and gives the flowing pattern a definite finishing edge.
A branching plant can echo the movement of the loops without hiding them. Cylas works well on a simple surface where the complete body remains visible beneath the greenery. Leave room around the sides to show how the large repeated curves wrap around the planter, especially when viewed from a slight angle. Keep foliage slightly clear of the sides so the flower planters remain visible as decorative pots within the overall arrangement. Place Cylas where the plant receives suitable light, bringing the detail of flower pots for indoor plants into a group of interior plant pots. The shape gives indoor flower pots a decorative role in the room, making Cylas a useful companion to simpler house plant pots.
Choose a plant with a root ball suited to the selected size, as you would with other flower pots and planters for indoor plants. The relief is part of the 3D printed planter itself, giving this unique planter detail that follows the shape of the whole body.
