Fluted Planter — Ribbed | Rivon
Description
Rivon is a deeply fluted planter with a full, rounded body that narrows toward the opening. Long vertical ribs follow the changing curve, spreading across the widest part and gathering toward the upper edge. The silhouette is more bulbous than a straight cylindrical pot.
The repeated lines make the outward curve easy to see. Recessed channels create strong shadow between the ribs, adding definition without replacing the soft overall form with angular facets. The rounded lower profile gives the body a broad, grounded visual presence. This round planter lets the surface pattern continue around the body, so the round plant pot can be appreciated from more than one viewing angle.
Rivon works well with foliage that rises or spreads from the smaller opening above the fuller pot. Position it where the sides remain visible against a quieter background. That space lets the changing width and the continuous vertical fluting remain clear beneath the leaves. Pair Rivon with contemporary planters in quieter shapes, or let it stand alone among modern plant pots on an open shelf.
For the Outdoor finish, choose a blue planter to coordinate with similar accents, or a green planter to change the contrast around the same sculpted form. When choosing indoor planters with drainage, select the opening option here; pots with drainage holes still need excess water emptied from any tray after watering. Use Rivon as a succulent planter with the drainage option, keeping the root space and growing medium appropriate for succulent plant pots.
