Plant Trellis — Abstract | Flux
Description
Flux is an abstract plant trellis made from a loose vertical chain of open circles. The rings vary in size and overlap at different angles, creating a gently wandering line above the pot. The design gives climbing stems a curved framework with an intentionally irregular rhythm.
The largest openings leave visible space between groups of leaves, while the smaller rings add detail closer to the stem. Because the circles shift from side to side, the support can become part of an asymmetric plant arrangement. The open center of each ring keeps the pattern visually light.
Use Flux with a compact vine when you want to guide growth upward without a rigid rectangular outline. Rounded or heart-shaped leaves echo the circular motif, while narrow leaves create a stronger contrast. Place the pot where the linked rings can be seen between the foliage as the plant takes shape. Keep some of the pattern exposed when using decorative indoor plant stakes, so the decorative indoor plant supports contribute to the room as the leaves develop. The defined pattern gives Flux the character of a modern plant trellis, with a modern trellis for climbing plants becoming part of the room as well as the pot.
Select a trellis for indoor climbing plants by the scale of the pot, then position the indoor climbing plant trellis before arranging the stems. For plant stakes for indoor plants, allow room for new growth and use loose ties where needed, just as you would with other indoor plant supports. For a compact hoya, this hoya trellis gives the stems a route around the pattern; choose a trellis for hoya that leaves space for growth.
