Orchid Planter With Holes — Lantern-Style Slats | Oryx
Description
Oryx is a rounded orchid planter with holes with flowing, interlaced slats that bend around a broad middle. Its open sides form elongated, irregular shapes, giving the body an ornamental lantern-like appearance. The silhouette pulls inward near the planting opening and base, so the widest point sits between them.
The curved strips change direction as they cross the front. This creates a pattern that feels closer to winding stems than to a rigid grid, with pockets of open space between the lines. The orchid's root area remains visible through the openwork, adding another layer of natural detail to the container.
Oryx pairs well visually with arching orchid stems and leaves that spread beyond the rim. Its generous-looking curve provides a rounded centre beneath the plant's lighter outline. Give it a little room on a side table or plant shelf so the sculptural body can be appreciated as well as the flowers above it. For a grouping of decorative containers for orchids, space the plants so the container surfaces can be seen; unique orchid pots contribute detail below the flowers as well.
For the Outdoor finish, choose a pink orchid pot to coordinate with similar accents, or a purple orchid pot to change the contrast around the same sculpted form. Select the tray option if you want an orchid pot with saucer; the orchid pot and saucer combination should be emptied after watering rather than left in standing water. Select a smaller inner diameter when you need a small orchid pot, keeping the root space of the small orchid planter proportionate to the plant. The open walls give Oryx the ventilated structure associated with orchid pots with holes, while its sculpted outline distinguishes it from simpler orchid containers.
