Ribbed Vase — Designer | Yovi
Description
Yovi, a ribbed vase, combines a finely ribbed inner form with a smooth band that sweeps diagonally around the lower body. The band rises higher on one side, partly enclosing the textured surface and giving the vase an intentionally asymmetrical outline.
Above the wrap, slender ribs follow the rounded body as it narrows into the neck. The contrast is concentrated in one clear gesture: close-set lines emerging from a broad, uninterrupted curved surface. A slight turn changes the balance between these two elements, making the chosen display angle part of the composition. The relief makes this textured vase read as an abstract vase as well as a container, particularly when light falls across the surface from one side.
Arrange a few dried flowers or artificial stems above the neck to keep the diagonal sweep in view. On a console or open shelf, leave space on the higher side of the wrap so the asymmetry is visible. Yovi pairs well with simple rounded accessories that echo its curves without repeating its layered structure. As a designer vase for living room styling, Yovi can sit beside books or framed art, with its detailed side turned toward the room. For a display of unusual vases, keep the neighbouring shapes quieter; unique flower vases are easier to appreciate when their profiles do not overlap.
For the Outdoor finish, choose a blue vase to coordinate with similar accents, or a green vase to change the contrast around the same sculpted form. This modern vase works well with restrained flower vase decor, where a few dry stems leave the sculpted surface in view.
