Textured Vase — Openwork | Prime
Description
Prime, a textured vase, turns a familiar vase outline into an open network of rounded, irregular spaces. Its body widens through the lower section and narrows into a tall neck, with curved connections forming large openings across the entire structure.
The pattern suggests organic cells rather than an evenly measured grid. Some spaces stretch vertically, while others broaden around the fuller part of the body, giving each area a slightly different rhythm. At the top, the open structure continues into the rim, keeping the silhouette light and sculptural from bottom to opening. The relief makes this textured vase read as an abstract vase as well as a container, particularly when light falls across the surface from one side.
Use dried stems or artificial branches whose lines can become part of the visible composition. Leaving some openings unobstructed helps preserve the design's airy character. Prime works particularly well against a simple wall or backdrop, where both the outer shape and the network of curved connections can be distinguished clearly from the arrangement inside. For flower vases for centerpieces, keep the dry stems in proportion to the container; table vase centerpieces feel more balanced when the vessel remains visible. For a display of unusual vases, keep the neighbouring shapes quieter; unique flower vases are easier to appreciate when their profiles do not overlap. When arranging decorative vases for living room shelves, let the container set the proportions of the table vase decor around it.
For the Outdoor finish, choose a black vase to coordinate with similar accents, or a white vase to change the contrast around the same sculpted form. This modern vase works well with restrained flower vase decor, where a few dry stems leave the sculpted surface in view.
