Ribbed Vase — Geometric | Novak
Description
Novak, a ribbed vase, has a narrow neck above a dramatically widened shoulder, with bold ribs defining its sculptural body. The ribs flare outward through the upper middle and then sweep back toward a narrow lower section. These pronounced curves give the vase a fin-like outline that changes as you move around it.
Unlike fine fluting, the larger divisions remain visible from a distance. Deep spaces between them emphasize the contrast between the slender neck and the broader body. A side or three-quarter view brings out the projected edges and the way they curve back into the form. The parallel relief gives this ribbed vase a changing pattern of highlights, so a ribbed flower vase arrangement stays interesting even with only a few dry stems.
Pair Novak with a loose cluster of dried stems or artificial flowers, keeping the arrangement clear of its shoulders. It makes a distinctive focal object on an open shelf, where the strong outline can be appreciated even when the vase is unfilled. Use Novak as a flower vase for living room styling, choosing dry stems when you want a flower vase for decoration without a water-filled arrangement.
