Textured Vase — Short Wide | Kumo
Description
Kumo, a textured vase, has a full upper body that narrows toward the bottom, creating a compact silhouette with a strong sense of direction. Fine ribs sweep around the main form, while the collar and slender neck introduce smoother surfaces above the textured body.
Its widest point sits high on the vase, giving the outline a different balance from a vessel that simply broadens at the base. The close-set ribs emphasize that change in width and add movement across the curved sides. The distinct collar provides a visual pause before the neck rises into the floral arrangement. The relief makes this textured vase read as an abstract vase as well as a container, particularly when light falls across the surface from one side.
Style Kumo with dried flowers or artificial stems arranged above the shoulder rather than draped across it. That keeps the ribbing and the transition at the collar visible. Its rounded upper profile pairs well with flat books, straight-edged trays, and other low accessories on a coffee table or sideboard. When arranging decorative vases for living room shelves, let the container set the proportions of the table vase decor around it. For a display of unusual vases, keep the neighbouring shapes quieter; unique flower vases are easier to appreciate when their profiles do not overlap. A light dry arrangement turns Kumo into a flower vase for office shelves, while the table flower vase itself supplies the main decorative detail.
For the Outdoor finish, choose a grey vase to coordinate with similar accents, or a red vase to change the contrast around the same sculpted form. This modern vase works well with restrained flower vase decor, where a few dry stems leave the sculpted surface in view.
