Indoor Planter — Ribbed | Yin
Description
Yin is an indoor planter with a broad upper bowl that narrows dramatically toward the bottom. Fine vertical ribs follow the changing profile, spreading around the fuller upper section and gathering into the slim lower portion. This creates a goblet-like silhouette rather than a straight-sided pot.
The relationship between the wide opening and the narrow lower shape is central to the design. The fluting reinforces that transition with continuous lines, making the curve easy to follow. A level upper edge keeps the opening clearly defined above the rounded sides.
Yin works well as an individual accent where its outline can be seen in full. Upright greenery continues the vertical rhythm, while an airy branching plant lets the curved bowl remain visible beneath the stems. For a collection of unique planters, keep the planting simple enough for the shape to show; unusual plant pots work best when their defining details remain visible. For a group of planters for living room shelves, place Yin where its outline can be read clearly beside other decorative plant pots. In a group of indoor house plant pots, leave a little space around Yin; unique plant pots need enough room for their individual outlines to show.
When choosing indoor planters with drainage, select the opening option here; pots with drainage holes still need excess water emptied from any tray after watering. Choose the smaller size when you need a small planter, and check its measurements against the space available for small plant pots indoors. For the Outdoor finish, choose a grey planter to coordinate with similar accents, or a red planter to change the contrast around the same sculpted form. With the drainage option and suitable light, Yin can be an indoor herb planter for a compact plant; herb pots indoors still need room for the roots to develop.
