Geometric Planter | Trihex
Description
Trihex is a geometric planter covered with small, sharply faceted cells. Several angled faces meet within each repeating unit, creating a dense geometric surface with a star-like, multi-directional rhythm. The body is fuller through the middle and curves inward toward the upper opening.
The facets break the exterior into many small planes that respond differently to light. This gives Trihex a more intricate appearance than a pot with broad continuous ribs. The soft overall outline provides a counterpoint to the pointed geometry of the individual cells. The changes in surface and outline make Trihex a geometric planter that can add a clear accent to a grouping of modern planters.
Trihex can add concentrated detail to an otherwise restrained plant arrangement. Pair its fine pattern with broader leaves or open branching stems, and give the pot a plain backdrop. That contrast helps the faceted cells remain readable without overwhelming the surrounding display. Pair Trihex with contemporary planters in quieter shapes, or let it stand alone among modern plant pots on an open shelf. For a group of planters for living room shelves, place Trihex where its outline can be read clearly beside other decorative plant pots.
When choosing indoor planters with drainage, select the opening option here; pots with drainage holes still need excess water emptied from any tray after watering. For the Outdoor finish, choose a pink planter to coordinate with similar accents, or a purple planter to change the contrast around the same sculpted form. With the drainage option and suitable light, Trihex can be an indoor herb planter for a compact plant; herb pots indoors still need room for the roots to develop. The smaller options suit a compact grouping of small plant pots; leave enough room between small flower pots to water each plant comfortably.
